Pair of painting classes planned by art center

The Southern Indiana Center for the Arts will offer acrylic and watercolor painting classes Feb. 15.

Snowman Divas is the last in the Paint the Town snowman series at Cupid’s Arrow Restaurant.

The event, taught by Darnell Dukes and Stephanie Mysak, will be from 2 to 5 p.m. The acrylic 11-by-14 inch painting is considered country folk art style and uses earth tone colors with touches of blue, red and green. Cost is $27.50 and includes supplies and instruction to complete the painting.

The watercolor class, taught by Kay Fox, will be at the arts center from 1 to 3 p.m. Participants can choose a cardinal or red barn for their painting and need to specify their choice when registering. The painting will be on 8-by-10 inch watercolor paper. The class price of $36 includes supplies and instruction.
