Jackson County Plan Commission’s monthly meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. today at the plan commission office, 202 E. Walnut St., Brownstown.

The nine-member commission is set to discuss an application for a special exception from Joseph E. Braughton Jr. of North Vernon for a seasonal camping/recreation area, according to the agenda.

The proposed 14.59 acres is to be located in a flood plain in the 2000 block of West U.S. 50 in Brownstown.
