BUTLERVILLE

James Alvin Johnson, 80, of Butlerville, died at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, at Arbor Grove Village in Greensburg.

Survivors include his wife, Freda Johnson of Butlerville; a son, Timothy James (Nicole) Johnson of Butlerville; two daughters, Gyna Grace (Darin) Shelley of North Vernon and Margo Michelle (Jay Boggs) Monday of Dupont; one brother, Jesse A. Johnson of Butlerville; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon with the Rev. Tom Mattingly and the Rev. Pat Canary officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Graham Baptist Church Cemetery in Jennings County with military graveside rites by members of Veterans of Foreign Wars Matt Hester Post 2021 and Naval Honor Guard.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Alzheimer’s Association.
