Harvey “Eugene” Carmichael Ehringer, 62, of Norman, passed away at 5:05 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, at Indiana University Health Hospital in Bedford.

Born Sept. 22, 1952, he was the son of the late Harvey Ester Carmichael and Lillie Mae Neal Carmichael.

He was honorably discharged from the National Guard and had worked at various sawmills in the area for 20 years. He also had worked at Russell Stover for seven years.

Survivors include sisters, Alberta Marie Horton and Mary Kathleen Dyas; brothers, William Joe Carmichael and Johnny Richard Carmichael; and several nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Shirley Mae Carmichael, Roberta Lee Carmichael and Karen Carmichael.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown with James Carmichael officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Houston Cemetery.
