Seymour student named to education honorary

Samantha Stuckwisch of Seymour and 18 others recently were inducted into Kappa Delta Pi at the University of the Cumberlands at Williamsburg, Kentucky.

The purpose of the international honor society is to promote excellence in and recognize outstanding contributions to education, according to a news release.

Membership in Kappa Delta Pi, founded in 1911, is open to education majors who are first-semester sophomores, juniors or seniors ranking in the top 20 percent of their class, have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and have 12 semester hours of professional education courses.

Alpha Delta Upsilon Chapter at the University of the Cumberlands was established April 26, 2008.
