Rainfall of nearly two inches since the beginning of the year is expected to push the East Fork White River at Rockford to a predicted crest of 15.1 feet by 1 p.m. today.

The river climbed above flood stage at 12.0 feet shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday — propelled by 1.87 inches of rain reported since New Year’s Day. That report comes from the Brownstown Central High School weather station website.

The National Weather Service Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service estimates the river will not fall below flood stage before Thursday night.
