Paul James “Jamie” Prewitt, 42, of Seymour, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, at his residence.

Born June 3, 1972, in Bedford, he was the son of James and Mary Prewitt.

Paul graduated from Brownstown Central High School in 1992. He loved to collect things with wolves and tigers on them and enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was a member of Brownstown Nazarene Church.

Survivors include his parents; brothers, Mark (Tanya) Prewitt of Freetown, Charles (Tara) Prewitt of Norman, Mathew (Kriste) Prewitt of Freetown, and Joseph (Kristen) Prewitt of Seymour; a very special aunt and godmother, Ruth J. Taylor of Norman; uncles, Gale (Betty) Taylor of Norman, Carl Taylor of Norman, John (Jodi) Prewitt of Norman, Merle Taylor of Heltonville, Wayne Taylor of Fayetteville, and Glenn (Joy) Prewitt of Bedford; nephews, James McKinney of Seymour, Blaine Alman of Columbus; three very special nephews, Jordan, Derrick and Payton Prewitt of Freetown; nieces, Mattison Lean Prewitt of Medora, Mackenzie Joe Prewitt of Muncie, and Kimberly Joe Prewitt of Medora.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilburn (Goldia) Taylor and Harry (Mary) Prewitt and uncles, Dale Taylor, Harry L. Prewitt and Gerald Prewitt.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Jones Funeral Home, Heltonville, with Pastor Tim Lichtley officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
