Jerry W. Jones, 56, of Seymour, passed away at 8:52 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014, at his home with his wife and family at his bedside.

Born June 21, 1958, in Cary, Kentucky, he was the son of Edward and Stella (Spurlock) Jones. On June 30, 1990, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Seymour, he married Karen Campbell.

Jerry started working at Home Products International in 1976 after graduating from Seymour High School and worked there until his illness kept him from it. He was a member of the Church of God in Seymour and also was a National Rifle Association member. Jerry enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outdoors. His two granddaughters were the joy of his life.

Survivors include his wife, Karen; daughter, Ashley (Derek) Gerth of Seymour; granddaughters, Ava and Bella Campbell; mother and father-in-law, Doralee and Clay Campbell of Seymour; brothers, Ray (Carolyn) Jones of Crothersville and Elmer (Alberta) Jones of Brownstown; three sisters, Mildred Laws and Helen (Garland) Murphy, both of Seymour, and Eva (Joe) Barker of Hebron, Kentucky; brothers-in-law, Kevin (Gail) Campbell of Austin and Keith (Lisa) Campbell of Brownstown; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Henry; and a brother-in-law, Roscoe Laws.

Pastor Bill Lockman will conduct services at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Seymour Christian Church at 915 Kasting Road. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre and from noon until time of service Tuesday at the church. Burial will follow services at Riverview Cemetery.
