Loraine “Ween” Berry, 90, of Crothersville, passed away at 1:13 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Born March 14, 1924, in Brownstown Township in Jackson County, she was the daughter of William and Josie (Thomas) Shirley. Loraine attended Tampico High School, and then married Orlando Berry on June 4, 1945, in Columbus. He preceded her in death.

Loraine was a member of Tampico Christian Church, liked her flowers, gardening and was a fabulous cook. She had always worked in the food industry at several restaurants including, McDonalds in Seymour and Brownstown, Burger Queen and Pleasers in Seymour.

Survivors include her son, Larry Berry of Crothersville; a grandson, Clinton R. Berry of Crothersville; a brother, Billy (Sue) Shirley of Scottsburg; a nephew, Larry Shirley of Tampico; and two nieces, Kathy (Mike) McKain and Tracey Shirley, both of Seymour.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, four brothers, Rawland “Pod” Shirley, Roland “Shird” Shirley, Raymond “Bud” Shirley and Bobby Shirley, and three sisters, Louise “Sis” Reynolds, Laverne “Tick” Henry and Margie Shirley; and a son, Roland Berry.

Pastor Randy King will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Adams Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville with burial to follow at Russell Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Adams Funeral Home and Crematory in Crothersville and from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be given to Russell Chapel Cemetery.
