Ernest Moore, 79, of Brownstown, died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis.

Ernest was a mechanic by trade, and he had owned and operated Moore’s Used Cars in Seymour. He had attended various churches in the area. His love of music and playing his banjo were important to him.

Born June 10, 1935, in Jackson County, he was the son of Sandy and Dorothy Moore.

Survivors include three children, Larry (Vickie) Moore, Lisa (Doug) Smith and Ernest (Robin) Moore Jr.; one sister, Leona Blake; two grandchildren, Bailey Moore and Wyatt Moore; and a great-granddaughter, Kendyl Moore.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Moore, and a sister, LuLu Edwards.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation prior to his burial at Kurtz Cemetery. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the cemetery. All friends and family are invited.

Memorial donations may be made to the burn unit at Eskanazi Hospital in Indianapolis.

Arrangements were handled by Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home, Brownstown.
