The American Red Cross has set dates for several blood drives in the area in early December.

Blood donations often decline between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day, and donors are needed in the weeks leading up to the holidays. On average, the Red Cross must collect 15,000 blood products every day across the county.

Brownstown Central High School, 500 N. Elm St., 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Dec. 10

Seymour

Anytime Fitness, 840 E. Tipton St., 2 to 7 p.m., Dec. 1

First Baptist Church, 505 Community Drive, 12:30 to 5:30 p.m., Dec. 11

North Vernon

National Guard Armory, 755 W. Madison Ave., 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Dec. 6

Scottsburg

Walmart Supercenter, 1618 W. McClain Ave., 2 to 6 p.m. Dec. 1

National Guard Armory, 1015 S. Main St., 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 13

Blood donation appointments may be made through the Red Cross Blood Donor App, which also allows donors to track donation history and earn rewards.
