2-day holiday quilt event to begin Friday


The fourth annual Quilter’s Holiday Extravaganza will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Celebrations, 357 Tanger Blvd. in Seymour.

There will be door prizes, goodie bags and a grand prize of a Christmas quilt.

This will be a holiday shopping experience with many quilt shops and other vendors from Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, North Carolina, Michigan and West Virginia. There will be antique and new quilts for sale along with gifts, fabrics, patterns, sewing kits, sewing and quilting machines, and more.

A display of Memory Quilts will be hung, commemorating special events and people.

Admission is $5 for one or both days. Slightly used quilt magazines will be sold, with all proceeds going to the Quilts of Valor Project to make quilts for soldiers.

Lunch will be available.
