The Brownstown Public Library recently announced their programs for adults throughout November.
The Adult Book Club will meet at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, to discuss “The Golden Doves” by Martha Hall Kelly.
The novel, inspired by true events, follows two former female spies, bound together by their past, who risk everything to hunt down an infamous Nazi doctor in the aftermath of World War II.
The club is for those 18 and older to share their literary interpretations of the current book selection. Everyone should read the month’s selection before the meeting; however, feel free to attend even if they haven’t finished the book as long as they don’t mind hearing how the book ends. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the discussion, but listeners are welcome.
Light refreshments are served by individuals from the group on a volunteer basis. Extra copies of the book selection are available one month in advance at the library circulation desk.
Craft Night is set for 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21. Participants will make a Santa out of an upcycled book. The class size is limited to 10 as supplies and space are limited.
Crochet & Chat is set for Friday is set for 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22. Do you know how to crochet and want to be around other people that do too?
Join fellow crocheters at the library for an hour of crocheting and chatting. Knitters and other fiber artists are welcome as well. Some basic instruction can be provided if needed.
Registration is required for the programs and may be done at the circulation desk or by calling the library at 812-358-2853.
