Benjamin James “Ben” Bratcher, 39, of Paris Crossing, passed away at 7:49 a.m. on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon.

Born January 12, 1985, in Seymour, he was the son of Sonya Lewis Lentz and the late James Edwin “Jamie” Bratcher.

Benjamin was a 2003 graduate of Scottsburg High School in Scottsburg. He worked in concrete construction for several years. Benjamin enjoyed hunting, fishing and his dog, Willie.

Survivors include his mother, Sonya (Jimmy) Lentz of LaGrange, Kentucky; companion, Erin Amos of Paris Crossing; stepsons, Kyle (Shayln) Amos of North Vernon, Jacob (Lilly) Amos and Braydon (Elizabeth) Amos, both of Franklin; brother, Gabriel Vanover of Madison; sister, Lacy (Josh) Wagner of Brooklyn, Michigan; grandparents, Thomas Bratcher of Seymour and Bob and Nell Lewis of Uniontown; step grandchildren, Ryker, Iris and Ashton Amos, all of Franklin; and nephews, Mikael and Maxwell Wagner, both of Brooklyn, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandmother, Fran Bratcher.

A funeral service for Benjamin will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at the Dove-Sharp &Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Ron McKinney and Rev. Tim Underhill officiating. The visitation for family and friends will be on Monday, October 14, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. The burial will follow in the Coffee Creek Christian Church Cemetery in Paris Crossing.

Memorials may be in honor of Benjamin through the funeral home to the Autism Speaks.
