The Loyal Devoir Society met at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at Central Christian Church in Seymour.

President Paula Stafford opened the meeting and thanked Group 4 for being hostess.

Lucy Dembek gave devotions. The minutes were read by Judy McDonald and approved, and Betty Guinn gave the treasurers’ report.

Under old business, Janice Brock thanked everyone who helped with the Delta Kappa Dinner on Sept. 17.

Rita Murphy and Paula Stafford will deliver cookies brought by members to the police department.

Janice Brock has cards and gifts to sell at the church on Nov. 3.

She also contacted Chris Ent about serving the society’s Christmas Dinner at 6 p.m. Dec. 3. He agreed to do it. A menu will be given to him.

Betsy McDonald and Lucy Dembek from groups 3 and 4 will plan the Christmas Dinner.

Bingo with a German theme also was played.

The meeting closed with the Mizpah Benediction.
