SEYMOUR

Dinah R. Main, 83, of Seymour, passed away at 7:40 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the Covered Bridge Health Campus, Seymour.

Born on June 20, 1941, Dinah was the daughter of the late Wilfred H. Toppe &Dora A. Weidig Toppe. She was a 1959 graduate of Vallonia High School and was a Redbird through and through. On May 22, 1960, at Vallonia Christian Church, Dinah married George Main, and he preceded her in death in May of 2000.

Dinah was a member of Central Christian Church. She was a homemaker, a teachers aid in the Seymour School Corporation and worked in Dickson’s Outlet store. She was a member of the Vallonia Women’s Card Club, Seymour City Extensions Homemakers, and delivered Meals on Wheels. Dinah loved spending time with her family and horses.

Survivors include her children: Lisa (Jack) McCory, Kevin (Roberta) Main, &Matt Main; Grandchildren: Brandon McCory, Clayton Main, Ty McCory, &Clint Main; sister, Kim (Warren) Underwood; sister-in-law, Donna Meahl; brother-in-law, Roy Main, Jr.; several nieces and nephews.

Dinah was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a sister, Mona L. Grider.

Funeral services for Dinah will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia with Chris Criminger officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. The burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Medora Goes Pink or to Donor’s Choice.
