Judy Ann Blish, age 68, of Seymour, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour, after battling T-cell lymphoma for a short time.

Mrs. Blish was a member of Genesis Church of Seymour for several years.

Judy was a bus driver with the Seymour Community School system for 26 years, and she loved the children on her bus as if they were her own.

Judy deeply cherished her family and loved spending time with them, especially enjoying fishing and mushroom hunting together. She had a passion for crafting, making silk arrangements, crocheting, quilting, doing needlework, and collecting elephants. Judy was also well-known for her delicious peanut brittle.

Born on July 25, 1956, in Seymour, Judy was the daughter of Joe “Mountain Man” and Georgia (Estes) Ramp, both of whom preceded her in death. On April 6, 2019, in Seymour, she married David A. Blish, and he survives in Seymour.

Survivors also include four sons: Matthew (Miranda) Alcorn, Michael (Leigh) Alcorn, Kevin Alcorn, and Mark Alcorn, all of Seymour; three stepsons: David A. (Tiffany) Blish, II, Clint T. (Rachel) Blish, and Trevor M. Blish, all of Seymour; two sisters: Penny Jo Ramp and Fayetta Kay Ramp, both of Freetown; grandchildren: Maddie Alexander, Kyler Alcorn, Cameron Alcorn, Lylah Alcorn, Marilyn Alcorn, Grace Alcorn, and Austin Alcorn, all of Seymour; and step- grandchildren: Haze and Hallie Blish, both of Seymour.

Funeral services for Judy Ann Blish will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Pastor Sam Kuehn officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc.

Interment will follow at Smallwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Genesis Church of Seymour.
