During the meeting, the board received a report from Youth Services Manager Stephanie Sluder and approved an after-hours lock-in for youth in third through fifth grade from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 14.

The board approved a staff resignation and changes to the personnel policy and programs policy. Board members were asked to complete a self-evaluation and office/committee interest form before the October meeting.

The board’s next meeting, the adoption of the 2025 budget, will be 4:30 p.m. Oct. 21 in the conference room at the Seymour Library, since the regular meeting room will be used for early voting.
