The Lady Owls defeated Hauser on Monday night in straight sets, winning comfortably 25-5, 25-7, and 25-7. Greer Henry led the team in aces (9) and kills (9). Zoe Williams also had 9 kills in the win for Seymour.

Anna Fish recorded 30 assists, while Norah Campbell had 8 digs in the dominant win.

The JV team also won their match over the Jets, 25-18, and 25-16.

Trinity’s volleyball team took care of business on Monday evening against Madison, defeating the Cubs in straight sets, 25-15, 25-15, and 25-19.

Carson Bowling and Rachel Bonde led the team in kills with 10 each. Presley Meyer recorded 5 aces in the win, while Laure Roeder had 15 digs. Addie Darlage had the most assists with 35. Trinity improves to 12-6 on the season.

The JV team defeated Madison 25-16, and 25-16, improving to 11-1 on the season.

Ross Bevers won the third singles match over Logan Peck, 6-0, and 6-0.

Nathan Finke and Jonathan Neawedde won their No. 1 doubles over Treyvon Shields and Jon Burt, 6-1, and 6-1. Will Gausmann and Reed Roeder defeated Robert Webb and Jack Keener winning, 6-0, 6-0.

The Braves defeated Salem on Monday evening on the tennis courts 3-2. Brownstown Central got wins from No. 1 singles player Smith Hackman and both doubles matches to secure the win.

Lane Steward and Pierson Wheeler won the one doubles match over Japeth Webb and Hunter Trainor, 6-3, and 6-1. Max Peters and Trey Isaacs defeated Gunner Walton and Landon Irwin, 6-3, and 6-1.

Girls’ Golf

Seymour

The Lady Owls competed in the Hoosier Hills Conference golf tournament on Monday at Valley View Golf Course. Floyd Central won the meet with a team score of 305, led by Paige Giovenco who set the state record with a 10-under par.

Giovenco shot a 61 and shot lower on 18 holes than 9 girls did on 9 holes.

Seymour finished in 4th place with a team score of 388. Shana Spray scored a 91, followed by Emmy Followell’s 93. Katie Cottrill ended her round with a 95, while Emily Windley shot a 109. Caroline Dennis finished with a 119 for the Owls.

Seymour hosted Bloomington South on Tuesday
