Kid’s Fall Safety Fest set for Thursday

The Seymour Police Department and Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 108 in conjunction with the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute Automotive Safety Program and Schneck Medical Center will be holding a Kid’s Fall Safety Fest from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Farmer’s Market lot and the Robertson Mill lot both in the 100 block South Walnut Street in Seymour.

Emergency vehicles will be available, free car seat safety checks, food available for purchase, numerous local resources, numerous activities, free bouncy houses and free snow cones.

The 96.3 WJAA FM Cool Bus will be on site as well. The public is invited to come out and enjoy the fun.

Participants include the Fraternal Order of Police Donald M. Winn Lodge 108, Jackson County Health Department, Seymour High School JAG program, Seymour Police Department K-9 “Koni,” Seymour Police Department Project LifeSaver officer Chadd Rogers and Jason Wynn, Jackson County WIC, Frosted by Macy, Boys and Boys & Girls Clubs of Seymour — Seymour, Brownstown, Jennings County, Tj’s BBQ & Catering, HSI Head Start, Jackson County Public Library, Jaylen Keller (face painting), Seymour Fire Department, Jackson County Emergency Medical Services, Seymour Young Marines, New Beginnings Recovery Center, Seymour Party Rentals and Jackson County United Way.
