Seymour

The Owls faced Bloomington North on Thursday evening, defeating the Cougars in four sets to improve to 5-0. Seymour won the match, 25-19, 22-25, 25-11, and 25-22.

The team will face East Central tomorrow at 10 a.m. to kickoff the Bloomington South Tournament. Seymour faces Columbus East at noon, before facing the hosting Panthers at 1 p.m.

Seymour’s JV team dropped the match with the Panthers, 25-21, and 25-14. The JV team currently sits at 3-2 on the season.

The Cougars faced Franklin on Thursday, dropping the match with the opposition in four sets. Franklin won the meeting 16-25, 25-17, 25-22, and 25-23.

Trinity fell to 4-4 on the season and travels to compete in the Bloomington South tournament with Seymour and Brownstown Central beginning at 10 a.m tomorrow.

The JV team won their match 25-14, and 25-14.

The Owls faced off with neighboring Jennings County on Thursday evening, defeating the Panthers 4-1. The only loss came in the No. 1 singles match.

Seymour is back in action when they host Jeffersonville on Tuesday at 5 p.m.

Girls’ Golf

Brownstown Central

The Lady Braves played at Old Capitol Golf Course on Thursday night, finishing in second-place to Corydon Central. The Panthers scored a 163 to win the meet, led by Madi Stilwell (36) and Emma Rowland who carded a 38.

Brownstown was led by Khloe Lingenfelter who scroed a 38. Abby Schroer followed with a 43, while Jayda Clodfelder scored a 48. Kinsley Schroeder scored a 55, while Claire Brelage recorded a 59.

Mairi Shaw finished with a 65, Kayleigh Jernigan ended with 67.
