Brownstown Pickleball Association will host a grand opening of their four Pickleball courts and a ribbon cutting ceremony from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 10 at 331 N. Bolles St., Brownstown.

This is in partnership with Healthy Jackson County and the Jackson County Visitor Center.

Pickleball is played either as doubles, two players per team, or singles on a 20-by-44-foot court with a net in the middle. Players use paddles to hit perforated, hollow plastic balls. It combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis.
