Girls Soccer

Trinity Lutheran

The Cougars faced off with the Christian Academy of Indiana on Tuesday evening, dropping the match with the Warriors 5-1. Anyah Carrigan scored the lone goal for the Cougars.

The team will host Rising Sun tomorrow at 11 a.m. The boys’ team will kick off their season afterwards with a match against Rising Sun at 1 p.m.

Seymour

The Lady Owls faced off with Columbus North in girls’ soccer on Thursday evening. Seymour dropped the match 8-0, as seven different girls scored for the Bull Dogs.

The Owls will travel to Bloomington North tomorrow for a match with the Cougars at 11:30 a.m.

Volleyball

Brownstown Central

The Lady Braves took care of business on Thursday night at home against Bloomington North, sweeping the Cougars in straight sets, 25-9, 25-14, 25-10. The JV team fell to the Cougars 25-17, and 25-19.

The team improved to 2-0 on the season and will travel to Providence on Tuesday for a matchup with the Pioneers. The game starts at 7 p.m.

Brownstown swept their way to their first Mid-Southern Conference win of the 2024 season on Thursday. The Braves defeated the Cougars 5-0, including sweeping both sets in the second doubles match.

Max Peters and Jace Reaser dominated Harlan Kelly and TJ Bline, 6-0, and 6-0. No. 1 doubles team, Pierson Wheeler and Lane Steward won their match, 4-6, 6-0, and 6-0.

Smith Hackman, Chase Brock, and Brady Davis all grabbed singles wins over North Harrison. The Braves will travel to Seymour to face the Owls this morning at 10 a.m.

The Owls defeated Providence on the tennis courts on Thursday evening, winning the meet 3-2 over the Pioneers. Seymour No. 2 Carter Stein defeated Harrison Folz, 3-6, 6-3, 6-0 for the only singles win of the evening.

Both doubles teams won their match to secure the meet win. The No. 1 group of Shun Takeuchi and Joel Stevens defeated Luke Banet and Foster Nash, 6-2, 6-3. The second team of Xavier DuBois and Braylon Busby defeated Griffin Rodski and Cooper Nash, 4-6, 6-3, and 6-2.

The Owls host Brownstown Central this morning at 10 a.m.

The Cougars traveled to Greensburg for a tennis match, losing to the opposition 4-1. Jack Stuckwisch picked up the lone win for Trinity, winning the No. 1 singles match over Mason McNulty 2-6, 6-1, and 6-2.

Trinity Lutheran will travel to the Lutheran High School of Indianapolis for a match on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
