The Beta Kappa Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha is sponsoring the 2024 Oktoberfest Prince and Princess Contest.

All boys and girls who are residents of Jackson County and are between the ages of 6 and 10 before the Oktoberfest are eligible to enter the contest.

The deadline for all applicants to register is Sunday, September 15 and are able to start collecting votes as soon as they are registered.

The winning Prince and Princess are determined by who raises the most money. Funds raised will benefit various Beta Kappa Philanthropic Projects as well as ways and means. Some of the annual projects include support for Jackson County ARC, Provisions, Anchor House, Jackson County Special Olympics, CASA, Easter Seals and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

All contestants who turn in money will receive prizes, have their picture in The Tribune and will be eligible to ride in the Oktoberfest parade.

The crowned Prince and Princess will each receive a bicycle provided by Beta Kappa and other prizes.

Applications are available online at the Oktoberfest site or by contacting Brenda Hardest at 371-6936 after 6 p.m. or Beth White at 812-525-2292. Registrations can be taken over the phone or by email at [email protected].
