CASSELBERRY, FLORIDA

Marvin F. Ratcliff, age 82, of Casselberry, Florida, formerly of Brownstown, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Ratcliff was a member of Vallonia Christian Church.

Marvin worked in various areas of management at Burroughs Corporation (Unisys) for many years in different locations throughout the United States. He also worked for several years in Orlando, Florida, for the State of Florida at the Department of Corrections and at the University of Central Florda.

Mr. Ratcliff graduated from Vallonia High School, and he was also a graduate of Indiana University. Marvin was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966, and he belonged to Masonic Lodge #500 in Indianapolis.

Born on July 5, 1942, in Seymour, Marvin was the son of Ancel and Eula (Cross) Ratcliff, both of whom preceded him in death.

Survivors include two cousins: Carolyn (Cross) Greathouse of Columbus, and Dorothy (Cross) Rees of Indianapolis.

Besides his parents, Marvin was also preceded in death by his grandparents: Clyde and Mary (Owen) Ratcliff and Lemma and Dora (Phillips) Cross; two aunts: Marguerite (Cross) Crockett and Mary (Cross) Morgan; one uncle, Russell Cross; and cousins: Gary Cross, Bob Morgan, and Janet (Morgan) Hauer.

Graveside services for Marvin F. Ratcliff will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Smallwood Cemetery, with Pastor Matt Roberts officiating.

Memorials may be given to Ratcliff Grove Christian Church or Smallwood Cemetery.
