Brownstown library July adult programs

The Brownstown Public Library has announced three adult programs for July.

The Adult Book Club will meet at 1 p.m. Friday to discuss “A Place to Land” by Lauren K. Denton.

The club is for those 18 and over to share their literary interpretations of the current book selection. Everyone should read the month’s selection before the meeting but may attend even if they haven’t finished the book as long as they don’t mind hearing how it ends. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the discussion, but listeners are welcome.

Light refreshments are served by individuals from the group on a volunteer basis. Extra copies of the book selection are available one month in advance at the library circulation desk.

The program is facilitated by Karen Raymer.

Craft Night will be at 5 p.m. July 18. Attendees will make a candle holder/planter out of tumbling tower blocks.

Crochet & Chat will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. July 25. Knitters and other fiber artists also are. Some basic crochet instruction can be provided if needed.

Registration is required for all three program and may be done at the circulation desk or by calling the library at 812-358-2853.

The cost for the craft class is $5 and it is limited to 10 as supplies and space are limited.
