BROWNSTOWN — The Columbus City Band traveled to the Jackson County seat Sunday afternoon for its annual patriotic concert just in time for the Fourth of July. The 60-member band, which also is scheduled to perform at 7:30 p.m. July 23 in the pavilion during the Jackson County Fair, includes numerous musicians from Jackson County. The band’s first patriotic concert in Brownstown was performed in 2005 on the lawn of the courthouse.
