The following closings in Jackson County are in effect for the Fourth of July holiday on Thursday:
- The Jackson County Courthouse and county office building, and all county offices will be closed Thursday.
- Seymour city offices and city hall along with government offices in Brownstown, Crothersville and Medora will be closed Thursday.
- The Brownstown Public Library and Jackson County Public Library with locations in Crothersville, Medora and Seymour, will be closed Thursday.
- There will be no city trash collection Thursday with collections delayed until Friday. Rumpke of Indiana will be delaying trash collection from Thursday to Friday elsewhere in the county.
- The Tribune is closed on Thursday to allow employees to enjoy the holiday with their families. All AIM Media (Indiana & Midwest) business offices, including customer service and online services, will be closed on Thursday.
- All Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicle branches will be closed Thursday and resume regularly scheduled business hours on Friday. For information, visit IN.gov/BMV
