Library holding free dance classes for older adults

The Jackson County Public Library invites older adults to a series of free dance classes at the Seymour Library.

Classes will be held weekly at 4 p.m. Tuesdays starting July 16 and continuing through Sept. 17. Participants should attend all sessions. Registration is required by July 12 and is limited to 20 people ages 60 and older. Interested adults can register by visiting or calling the library or online at myjclibrary.org/events .

Dance instructor Jill Mires from Madison will lead the classes. Attendees at the first class should know their shoe size to order ballet and tap shoes for later sessions.

This activity is made possible in part by the Indiana Arts Commission, which receives support from the State of Indiana and the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration’s Division of Aging.
