Brownstown Athletic Cancellations

Brownstown Central has decided to cancel a few athletic events on March, 30th. This will allow all athletes and fans to attend the boys state basketball game against Wapahani.

They have cancelled the following events for that Saturday:

JV/V golf at Seymour

V Softball at North Decatur

V Baseball at Bloomington South

All-Area All-Star girls and boys basketball games

The All-Area All-Star basketball games will take place on Saturday night at Columbus Christian High School. Trinity Lutheran had plenty of players on both the boys’ and girls’ teams.

On the girls’ team three Cougars made the roster, Madison Keith, Marley Warren and Liza Froedge. Hudson Lang, Kowan Gross and Levi Pottschmidt are representing Trinity on the boys team.

The girls’ game is at 6 p.m, with the boys scheduled to follow at 7:30 p.m.

IBCA/Franciscan Health Boys All-State

Brownstown Central has proved all season that they’re one of the best programs in the state. IBCA All-State was announced on Friday morning, with plenty of Braves on the list.

Jack Benter has acquired multiple accolades this season, add being a member of the 2024 IBCA/Franciscan Health Supreme 15 senior team as another accomplishment for the senior. Parker Hehman was chosen on the senior small school All-State squad.

Colby Hall was chosen as an underclassmen small school All-State selection. Chace Coomer was chosen as an honorable mention for the underclassmen small school All-State team.
