The Jackson County Public Library is offering free programs for adults ages 18 and older in April at the Seymour Library.
Glass Marble Magnets will be at 3 p.m. April 16 with registration required by April 12 and a limit of 15 people. Attendees will learn how to turn flat marbles into a customizable magnet.
Flower Lanterns is planned for 2 p.m. April 24 with registration required by April 22 and a limit of 15 people. Crafters can join the wait list for this program, where they will make a pressed flower candle lantern.
The library also is offering free programs for teens in grades 6-12 at the Seymour Library.
Short story writing workshops are planned for 5 p.m. April 2 and May 7. Registered teens will write their own short story. Registration is required by March 29 and May 5 with a limit of 15 teens per session.
Straw Rockets for teens in grades 6-12 will be offered at all three library locations. Seymour is at 5 p.m. April 1 with registration required by March 28 and a limit of 15 teens. Medora is at 4:30 p.m. April 4with registration required by April 2 and a limit of 15 teens. Crothersville is at 4:30 p.m. April 5, with registration required by April 3 and a limit of 15 teens.
People attending library programs in March and the first week of April will receive a free pair of solar eclipse glasses at the end of each program while supplies last.
