Girls basketball

Crothersville

The Lady Tigers played their final regular-season game on Tuesday evening against New Washington. Crothersville would drop the matchup to the Mustangs by 41 points, losing 67-26.

The team will now focus on the postseason, which begins Tuesday at 7:30 p.m with the Tigers facing Shawe Memorial. That game will take place at New Washington High School.

Boys basketball

Trinity Lutheran

The Cougars have decided to make up their canceled matchup with Shawe Memorial. That game will take place on Feb. 3 at 1:30 p.m.

The JV game will take place at noon. The games will take place at Trinity Lutheran High School.

Girls Sectional Basketball Pairings

Seymour

The Owls will face a familiar foe in opening round of sectional play, facing Jennings County at 7 p.m. The winner will get the chance to face Jeffersonville in the semifinal. The sectional will be held at Floyd Central High School.

Brownstown Central

The Lady Braves are scheduled to face off with Southwestern (Hanover) in first round of sectional Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. That matchup will take place at Providence High School, and the winner will face Henryville in the semifinals.

Trinity Lutheran, Crothersville and Medora

Two Jackson County teams will face off with each other in the opening matchup of the Class A Sectional 62 at New Washington High School.

Medora and Trinity Lutheran are meeting to open the postseason on Jan. 30 at 6 p.m. The winner will face the host school in the semifinals.

Crothersville drew Shawe Memorial, and that game will follow the Medora-Trinity matchup. The game is expected to start at 7:30 p.m. The winner gets Rising Sun in the semifinals.
