Board of works meets Thursday

The Seymour Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday in the council chambers at city hall, 301-309 N. Chestnut St., Seymour.

Agenda items include discussion for approval of a special request to use the Walnut Street Parking Lot in February by the Spudbank food truck; four requests for annual residential handicap parking renewals; rental of Crossroads Community Park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 2 for the Schneck Foundation’s annual Thanks a Bunch Lunch to honor volunteers and donors; and a request to purchase a mower and a one-ton dump truck from Water Pollution Control Director Jarin Gladstein.

The Seymour Museum Center board also is requesting the use of the Walnut Street and Robertson Feed Mill parking lots from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 27 for the 13th annual Parking Lot Pickers event.

Seymour Police Chief Greg O’Brien is scheduled to give his report and present a request for employee medical leave, and Clerk-Treasurer Darrin Boas will present sewer bill adjustment requests.
