Deadline approaches to enter idea pitch competition

The Jackson County Chamber, in partnership with the Indiana Economic Development Corp., is hosting an idea pitch competition called SPARK Tank in early 2024.

Jackson County innovators, high school students and older, can submit an idea to launch a new business, create a new product or service or improve an existing product or service.

The total cash prize purse for the competition is $15,000. The application deadline is Dec. 15. The application and details can be found in English and Spanish on the chamber website at jacksoncochamber.com/spark-tank.

Once applications close, a board of judges will select the finalists. Each finalist will be connected with a coach, who will help them polish their idea and their pitch. The finalists will pitch their final idea to a panel of judges at an event Feb. 1, 2024.

“We are thrilled to be able to host this event in support of our local entrepreneurs and innovators,” said Dan Robison, executive director of the Jackson County Chamber. “We know there are some folks with great ideas right here in our community, and we want to help them with some coaching and working capital to bring their ideas to life.”
