Library offering adult and teen programs in December

The Jackson County Public Library is offering free programs for adults ages 18 and older in December.

  • Winter Seed Sowing is at 2 p.m. Dec. 6 in Seymour with registration required by Dec. 4 and a limit of 20 people. Purdue Extension Master Gardener Trina Roark will teach attendees how to sow seeds this winter. Attendees should bring one package of flower seeds.
  • Reindeer cork ornament craft is at 10 a.m. Dec. 8 in Seymour with registration required by Dec. 6 and a limit of 15 people.
  • Merry Quizmas Christmas trivia is at 5 p.m. Dec. 13 in Seymour with registration required by Dec. 11 and a limit of 30 attendees; 1 p.m. Dec. 18 in Crothersville with registration required by Dec. 15 and a limit of 15 attendees; and at 1 p.m. Dec. 21 in Medora with registration required by Dec. 19 and a limit of 15 attendees.
The library also is offering a program for teens in grades 6 to 12. Dorm Room Dish is at 5 p.m. Dec. 12 in Seymour. Registered teens will make reindeer food. Registration is required by Dec. 8 with a limit of 10.
