Veterans banners to be returned to sponsors next week

Diana Ray, regent for the Fort Vallonia Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, has announced the veterans banners that are hanging on Tipton Street in Seymour and along U.S. 31 in Crothersville will remain up until Veterans Day.

She encourages everyone to view the banners as they remember the brave men and women who have given so much to the country.

The banners will be taken down the week of Nov. 13 in both communities. The Seymour banners will be returned to the sponsors from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Seymour Museum Center, 220 N. Chestnut St.. The Crothersville banners will be available for pickup after 2 p.m. Nov. 17 at Crothersville Town Hall, 111 E. Howard St.

Veterans banner orders for 2024 will be announced beginning in December.

Ray also reminds all local residents the DAR chapter is taking orders for Wreaths Across America. Brochures are available at the Seymour Museum Center on Saturdays through Nov. 18.
