Marjorie Ann Thomas Patman, age 94, of Seymour, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at The Lutheran Community Home in Seymour.

Marjorie was born on September 3, 1929, in Jackson County to the late Edwin and Esther (Seifker) Thomas. On May 6, 1951, she married the love of her life, Edwin R. Patman, at St. John’s Lutheran Church Sauers, with whom she shared 62 wonderful years of marriage together until his death on October 13, 2013. Marjorie was employed with Seymour Schools as cafeteria staff, Seymour Animal Hospital as an assistant and Persimmon Tree as a retail clerk. She attended and graduated from Brownstown High School. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Immanuel Guild, and Pine Ridge Homemaker’s Club. Marjorie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Mark Patman and Teresa Browning (Kenny); grandchildren, Micah McLendon (Shannon), Marcie Patman, Katie Wahlstrom (Greg), Pete Browning (Jennifer), and Samantha Plumlee (Tyler); great-grandchildren, Silvianna McLendon, Lilly and Levi Wahlstrom, Savannah, Daxton and Roman Browning; siblings, Norma Christopher Thomas and Larry Thomas (Ruth).

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, the late Richard Thomas.

Funeral services for Marjorie will be held on Saturday morning, November 4, at 11:00AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 504 N. Walnut Street, Seymour, IN. The family will receive guests at Voss and Sons Funeral Service and Crematory, 316 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour from 5:00-8:00PM on Friday evening, November 3, and again at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00AM until the time of service. Burial will immediately follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Sauers in Seymour.
