The Jackson County Public Library is offering a free program for adults in October: True Crime Club at 5 p.m. Oct. 23.
Up to 30 attendees can dive into a cold case file and attempt to solve the unsolvable. Registered adults will receive the case by email in advance so they can discuss theories.
Programs offered for teens in grades 6 to 12 will meet in the Seymour Library meeting room unless otherwise noted:
-5 p.m. Oct. 10: Dungeons & Dragons. All levels of players are welcome. Registration is required by Oct. 9 with a limit of 15.
-Oct. 18 to 20: Drop-in mini pumpkin painting while supplies last. Teens can stop by the Seymour Library Teen Scene any time to paint mini foam pumpkins.
-5 p.m. Oct. 24: Dorm Room Dish. Learn how to make graveyard dirt. Registration is required by Oct. 23 with a limit of 15.
-5:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 27: Terrifying Teen Lock-In. The program, in the Seymour Library after closing, is sponsored by Friends of the Jackson County Public Library. Teens may join the waiting list, and all teens must have a signed permission slip turned in by Oct. 25. There is a limit of 20.
