Brownstown Central

The Brownstown Central Braves traveled to Charlestown on Tuesday to compete against the Pirates in volleyball.

The Braves dominated the match, winning 25-11, 25-12, 25-14. The JV team also grabbed a win over Charlestown, winning 25-18, 25-19.

Brownstown Central

The Brownstown Central Braves hosted Corydon Central on Tuesday.

The Braves defeated Corydon on the court, winning the meeting 4-1. Brownstown was able to secure the meet win with their singles matches, winning all three of them. Braves No. 1 Smith Hackman defeated Devon Murphy 6-1, 6-0. No. 2 Pierson Wheeler got the victory against Dylan Adams, winning 6-1, 6-3. The Braves proceeded to sweep the singles matches when Lane Steward defeated Brogan Teeter 6-1, 6-0.

In doubles action, the teams would split the matches. In the first match, the Braves duo of Chase Brock and Evan Schneider defeated Trey Niley and Trevor Wilkinson 6-4, 6-4. In the second match, Landon Waynescott and Grant Lindeman defeated the Braves tandem of Max Peters and Brady Davis 6-3, 6-1.

The Braves now improve to 4-5 on the season.

Girls golf

Trinity Lutheran

Allie Schocke competed for the Trinity Lutheran Cougars on Tuesday at St. Anne’s Golf Course in North Vernon.

Schocke competed against Jennings County and Greensburg. The Cougars golfer scored 49, good enough for a third-place finish in the event.
