Live music returning to history center livery barn

The Jackson County History Center in Brownstown is bringing back a tradition that was once shared with local residents.

The nonprofit organization remodeled the inside of the livery barn and is welcoming live music once more.

The first concert Sept. 23 will feature local group Alley Katz Band, led by Rich Hampton. The show will start at 7 p.m. in the livery barn on the center’s campus at 105 N. Sugar St.

Food will be available for purchase starting at 6 p.m. The band will be playing for a donation to the history center. All ages are welcome.

The plan is for the tradition of live music to continue through the year.
