The 50th Alvin and Maudie Davis reunion was held Aug. 27 at Central Christian Church in Seymour with 21 present.

Melissa Shunney gave the invocation before the pitch-in meal.

LeRoy Davis presided over the meeting with the election of officers for 2024 being held. The new officers will be LeRoy Davis II, president; Betsy Ackeret, vice president; and Eunice Lacey, secretary and treasurer. Shunney and Edie Thompson will be on the entertainment committee, and Robert Peacock and Amanda Thompson will serve on the refreshment committee.

The next reunion will be held Aug. 25, 2024, in the fellowship hall at Central Christian Church. The pitch-in dinner will start at 1 p.m.

JoAnn Webster will again buy the flowers for the Maudie and Alvin Murphy graves around Memorial Day.

It was decided to keep the scrapbook with the secretary and have it brought back to the reunion to look at and add photos.

The entertainment committee gave a gift to the youngest person present, Jose Davis; the oldest man, LeRoy Davis; oldest woman, Eunice Lacey; and the person who came the longest distance, JoAnn Webster. Bingo and relay games were played, and everyone there left with a gift to take home.
