Columbus City Band kicks off Fourth of July in Brownstown

The Columbus City Band made its annual trek to Brownstown on Sunday to perform a patriotic concert at Heritage Park.

The band, which features musicians from across south central Indiana, including Jackson County, first performed the concert in June 2004.

The concert, performed on the fourth Sunday of June each year, was held on the lawn of the historic Jackson County Courthouse for many years until the opening of Heritage Park in 2018.

If you missed Sunday’s concert, the Columbus City Band will be making an appearance at 7:30 p.m. July 25 during the Jackson County Fair in Brownstown. The concert will be in the pavilion.
