Camping was the theme for a Title 1 parent meeting Sept. 26 at Brownstown Elementary School.
Reading tips and strategies were provided to help parents when reading with their child. Children enjoyed camp food (hot dogs and Goldfish crackers), camping stories, books, s’mores and several educational games and activities.
Title 1 teachers Mary Jane Steinkamp and Teresa Meyer organized the event.
“There were several volunteers that helped make the night a success,” Meyer said.
