Douglas Andrew Christopher, age 50, of Medora, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour.

Mr. Christopher was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Brownstown.

Doug was a carpenter most of his life, and he was a member of the Eagles for 29 years. He loved and cherished spending time with his family, especially playing with his grandchildren, and hunting and fishing with his family. Doug also enjoyed watching the San Francisco 49ers and NASCAR, as he was an avid Chase Elliott (#9) fan.

Born on August 15, 1972, in Seymour, Doug was the son of James and Vivian Henson Christopher. His mother preceded him in death, and his father survives in Brownstown. On November 2, 2019, he married Bobbi Brown and she survives in Medora.

Survivors also include one stepson, Brett Morrison (Katelyn Fox) of Medora; two stepdaughters: Taelor (Alex) Caudill of Waveland, and Jennifer Morrison (Austin White) of Brownstown; two brothers: James L. (Pam) Christopher, Jr. of Brownstown, and Ryan Christopher of Brownstown; one sister, Kim Christopher (Bob Hawkins) of Vallonia; six grandchildren: Klaeton Caudill, Oliver Caudill, Hayden Caudill, KayliJo Caudill, Dustin Morrison, and Drake Morrison; nieces and nephews: Chandler (Kayla) Christopher, Jami Christopher, and Austin McMahon (Ariana Benge); great-nieces and great-nephews: Dawson Christopher, Landyn Christopher, and Zyen McMahon; and mother-in-law, Brenda Brown.

Besides his mother, Doug was also preceded in death by a brother, Steven Christopher; and father-in-law, Steven Brown.

Funeral services for Douglas Andrew Christopher will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 3, 2022, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Pastor Ryan Schneider officiating. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc. and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 3, 2022, at the funeral home.

Interment will be at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Brownstown.
