Seymour Main Street is presenting the annual downtown Scarecrow Stroll.

Several unique scarecrows will be on display in front of various downtown businesses. A full list of participating businesses can be found soon by visiting seymourmaintreet.org or the Seymour Main Street Facebook page.

This is a free, fun family event that can be enjoyed starting Monday and running through Oct. 31. Stroll through downtown Seymour, review each scarecrow and cast your vote for your favorite.

New this year, all locations will have a QR code to scan to cast your ballot electronically. Voting instructions also will be available at each display.

Each vote helps determine the winner, which will be announced Nov. 1 and receive the rotating winner’s plaque to display in their business for the year.

Strollers also are encouraged to stop by Burkhart Plaza for Seymour Main Street’s Scarecrow Selfie contest. Snap a picture with the hashtag #SeymourScarecrow and be entered to win prizes. Selfies also can be submitted starting Monday and going through Oct. 31 with winners announced the first week of November.
