SCOTTSBURG

Debra Linn Zollman Whitlock, age 66, a lifelong resident of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday. May 28, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She was the daughter of the late Charles Zollman and the late Donna Faye (Brandt) Zollman.

Debra will forever be remembered as the life of the party who loved to laugh and makes others feel good about themselves. She had a passion for the ministry of recovery, living her life as an example to others, encouraging them and helping to make them believe that they can make it. She enjoyed, home group meetings, candy crush, dancing and was a huge advocate of the Scott County Humane Society. Her passion for people was reflective of her nursing career that spanned for over 45 years.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her and each life that she touched in her own special way.

She is survived by her one son, Charles Michael “Shane” Whitlock and his wife Ashley Nicole of Scottsburg, Indiana, two daughters, Laura F. Schmidt of Scottsburg, Indiana and Ashley Etelka Whitlock of Seymour, Indiana.

One sister, Pam Boley of Marysville, Indiana.

Nine grandchildren, Nicholas Taylor, David Amos, Kaalob Schmidt. Michael Schmidt, Noah Schmidt, Bailey Hurtt, Wyatt Taylor, Bryson Shane Baker and Bryson Carter Whitlock.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son in law, Joseph Schmidt.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Christensen – Hoagland Family Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 1:00 PM with Pastor Bradley Akey officiating.
