The Indiana State Police is investigating a single-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon near Seymour that resulted in all four occupants being injured.

Two of the four were airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital with serious and possible life-threatening injuries, according to a news release from Sgt. Stephen Wheeles.

Wheeles, the public information officer for the Versailles Post, said troopers from that post and officers with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department along with other emergency personnel responded to the crash in the 6600 block of North County Road 760E at about 4 p.m.

The initial investigation by troopers with the Indiana State Police Versailles Crash Reconstruction Team indicated that a silver 2012 Hyundai passenger car, being driven by Dakota S. Mott, 20, of Seymour, was traveling southbound on County Road 760E when for an unknown reason, Mott lost control of the vehicle.

The vehicle left the west side of the roadway before rolling multiple times and coming to a stop.

As a result of the vehicle rolling, three passengers in the vehicle, Isaiah Bogard, 15, Kathryn Roy, 17, and Zackery Stout, 18, all of Seymour, were ejected from the vehicle.

Mott was taken to Schneck Medical Center in Seymour for treatment of her injuries by personnel with Jackson County Emergency Medical Services. Bogard was flown to an Indianapolis area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries, while Roy also was flown to an Indianapolis area hospital with serious injuries.

Stout was transported by ambulance to an Indianapolis area hospital with serious injuries.

It is unknown if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. Investigators believe speed was a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.

Troopers with the Indiana State Police also were assisted by personnel with Redding Township Volunteer Fire Department, StatFlight and Hampton Towing.
