Brownstown rolls past Clarksville

The Brownstown boys basketball team picked up a nice road win on Saturday night, defeating Clarksville 71-43.

Brownstown led 19-16 after the first quarter, but then the Braves took off in the second quarter, outscoring Clarksville 16-5 heading into halftime. Brownstown increased that lead even more out of halftime, winning the third quarter 23-7 to coast to victory.

Carter Waskom led the Braves in scoring with 23 points on the night, Jack Benter scored 16, Parker Hehman 12, Jakob Arthur eight, Aidan Schroer four, Levi Stahl four, Carson Darlage two and Trapper Dean two.

The victory improved Brownstown’s record to 14-3 overall, and the Braves will be back in action on Friday night when they host Bedford North Lawrence at 7:30 p.m.

Trinity tops Austin

The Trinity Lutheran boys basketball hosted Austin for an early Saturday afternoon game at Bollinger Athletic Complex.

The Cougars were able to roll to a 72-57 victory.

Trinity improved its record to 8-10 on the season and will play on the road on Thursday night at Christian Academy.

Medora drops game to Pleasant View

The Medora boys basketball team went on the road Saturday night and played at Pleasant View Christian.

The Hornets suffered a 60-41 road loss.

Shepard Earl scored 13 points to lead Medora, Braxton McCory scored 11, Eli Sturgill scored nine, Dawson Cornett scored four and Jenna Bowers also scored four points.

The Hornets are now 3-13 on the season and will play again later tonight at home against New Washington at 7 p.m.

Crothersville falls to Edinburgh

The Crothersville boys basketball team went on the road Saturday afternoon to take on a tough 15-1 Edinburgh team.

The Tigers suffered a 72-32 defeat.

Adam Turner scored nine points to lead the Tigers, Preston West scored six, Devin Morgan had six, Logen O’Sullivan four, Matt Clouse three, Zach Helt two and Damian Bowman two.

Crothersville is now 2-13 on the season and will next play tomorrow night at home against South Decatur.
