Ronald Dean Blevins, age 90, a native and resident of Seymour, Indiana passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022 peacefully at his residence surrounded by those he loved so dearly. He was born on December 19, 1931 to the late George Blevins and the late Esther (Wineinger) Blevins. He was united in marriage to the late Hazel Elaine (Julien) Blevins on June 30, 1956 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Ronald served his Country in the United States Army from 1942-1944. He worked at Gerwin Shoe Factory, Dairy Mart, Schneck Medical Center and enjoyed sitting with the elderly in their homes. He loved gardening, raising chickens and because he never got his driver license, he loved to walk. He was a faithful member of Seymour Christ Temple Apostolic for over 70 years where he served as a Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School teacher and song leader. He loved and served his Lord and Savior faithfully. Ronald will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him and each life that he touched in his own special way.

He is survived by his two sons, Anthony “Tony” Blevins and his wife Patricia “Pat” of Seymour, Indiana and Terry Blevins and his wife Teresa of Crothersville Indiana. Three grandsons, Brandon Blevins and his wife Susan, Trent Blevins and wife Amber, Kyler Blevins and his wife Carly and grand-daughter, Kylee Wilson. Eleven great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and an adopted daughter that he loved as his very own, Debbie Jaynes. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers, Kenneth Blevins and George “Jr” Blevins. Two sisters, Julie Manion and Alberta Huckleberry.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Seymour Christ Temple Apostolic. A Celebration of Life service will begin and 7:00 PM with Sr. Pastor Dennis Allman and Pastor Dennis Allman officiating. Private family graveside services will be held at Riverview Cemetery. Services will be live streamed on the Woodlawn Family Funeral Centre Facebook page.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to the Seymour Christ Temple Apostolic building fund.
