Barbara Sue Henson, age 65, of Crothersville, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Seymour Crossing.

Mrs. Henson was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and she also loved flowers and watching birds.

Born on August 10, 1955, in Tell City, she was the daughter of Emery and Dollie Durbin Terry, both of whom preceded her in death. On September 13, 1973, she married Terry Lee Henson and he preceded her in death on December 29, 2015.

Survivors include one son, Anthony “Tony” (Heather) Henson of Crothersville, and one daughter, Terri “Molly” Marling (Patrick Foley) of Scottsburg and son – in – law: Jerry Marling; five sisters: Rose Lotts of Beech Grove, Violet Adkins of Tell City, Patty (Delbert) James of Tobinsport, Norma Stapleton of Cannelton, and Gertie (Randy) Leinenbach of Owensboro, Kentucky; three grandchildren: Jessica Marling, Nicholas Marling, and Allison Roll; and five great-grandchildren: Marli Beedie, Bryson Butler, Addison Butler, Willy Wilson, and Iris Roll.

Barbara was also preceded in death by her sister, Betty Lasher.

Funeral services for Barbara Sue Henson will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with John Ray and Nathan Schroeder officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2021, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at the funeral home. Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc. will be practicing social distancing according to CDC guidelines. Masks are required when entering the funeral home.

Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be written to the family or donor’s choice.
